Cholera is primarily transmitted through contaminated water or food. The Vibrio cholerae bacterium is typically found in fecal matter of infected individuals. Common transmission routes include:

Severe dehydration: Dry mouth, excessive thirst, decreased urine output, dry skin, fatigue, and dizziness
